Teaching the alphabet letters in a school classroom, in a home school setting, or just helping your pre-school child get a leg up on learning the alphabet letters, the "Hands-On Learning: Alphabet Stencils" pack is for you.

The "Hands-On Learning: " pack is an excellent tool for teaching the alphabet letters. The pack provides a fun-filled, entertaining way for the student to learn the shape of the alphabet letters and the letter/word association using the alphabet stencils letters and alphabet stencils word picture cards. Tracing the letter stencils and picture stencils, not only trains the mind/muscle coordination needed for writing, but also re-enforces the memory. Learning the name of the letter, the shape of the letter and the sound represented by the letter is the key to forming word/picture association required for reading and writing.

The "Hands-On Learning Alphabet Stencils" pack is well built and well organized. The letter stencils and the picture stencils are made of sturdy 3/64 inch thick card stock and coated on each side with a plastic finish for easy cleaning and durability.

The pack contains twenty six (26) alphabet letter stencils and twenty six (26) alphabet picture stencils. The Letter stencil card is 4 ¼ inches wide and 5 inches high with a push-out letter that is 3 1/4 inches wide and 4 inches high. The alphabet picture stencil card is 3 ¼ inches wide and 5 inches high with a push-out picture that varies slightly in size depending on the object being pictured. The word for the object pictured is printed on the stencil card for easy reference. Pushing out the letter or picture makes a positive and a negative stencil for use in drawing practice to learn the letter and the word for the object pictured.

Each "Hands-On Learning: Alphabet Stencils" pack contains:
* twenty six (26) letter stencils
* twenty six (26) word/picture stencils
* a four (4) piece non-toxic crayon set
* a teaching guide with many tips and suggestions

All of the above items are snugly packed in a well constructed, sturdy cardboard box. The box is colorfully decorated with Stencils "A," "apple," "F," and "fish" and covered with a plastic coating for protection and durability.

The "Hands-On Learning: Alphabet Stencils" pack would be an asset for the classroom or the home and is a very useful tool for teaching the alphabet letters.

Agrippa claims that a 13th century magician attributes the alphabet to Honorus of Thebes.

It is believed that the alphabet was used to write spells and book of shadows in based on the parallel words in Latin. Modern witches use it to translate their native language into the alphabet in order to keep secret their writings. Many pagans also use the wiccan alphabet symbols to inscribe candles, stones, and other tools for magical use.
